- Early morning — approve listings before work
- Daytime — GM role at a real estate company
- Evening — packing & shipping orders with the family
- Every day — Robert, Bre & little Jade right alongside Melanie
Our Story
I saw an opportunity — quality surplus and clearance items that most Kiwis never got to see, while everyone around us was paying full price for the same things. That didn't sit right with me. I knew we could do something about it.
So I started sourcing. Finding the good stuff, bringing it home, listing it honestly at prices that made sense. Robert jumped in. Then Bre. Before we knew it the lounge was a stockroom and the kitchen table was our packing station. It was real, it was ours — and we loved every bit of it.
When the house couldn't hold it anymore, we got a container. When the container wasn't enough, we moved into a bigger space. Every single step of that growth happened because everyday New Zealanders kept coming back — not because we had investors or a fancy business plan, but because we were doing things right and people could feel that.
Today The Value Junction is still the same family doing the same thing — just with more room, more stock, and a whole lot more Kiwis finding things they love at prices that actually make sense.
