When a secret meeting called by General de Gaulle to unite France's resistance factions is raided by the Gestapo under the notorious Klaus Barbie, it becomes clear someone inside the movement has betrayed them. British undercover agents Jack Miller and Sophia von Naundorf are sent into occupied France to root out the informer before more lives are lost, all while the Gestapo closes in from the other direction. Meticulously researched and tightly plotted, it's a satisfying finale for fans of historical espionage fiction in the vein of Alan Furst and Charles Cumming.
