The Good News Bible presents the scriptures in Today's English Version, using familiar language to make their stories and teachings accessible to a wide readership. From the narratives, poetry and prophetic writings of the Old Testament to the Gospels and letters of the New Testament, it brings together the many voices that form the Christian Bible. This British edition, issued by the Bible Society in New Zealand, reflects the translation's emphasis on helping readers understand the meaning of the original texts through natural English. Suitable for personal reading, shared discussion and reflection, it offers an approachable way to explore the people, events and beliefs at the centre of the biblical tradition.
