Goodnight, Goodnight, Construction Site by Sherri Duskey Rinker

Even the busiest trucks need a peaceful goodnight

Good Condition - With rubbed and lightly chipped edges, cover scuffs and creases near the spine and lower corners. Pages appear generally clean.

The day's work is coming to an end, and the construction site's hardest workers are ready for rest. Crane Truck, Cement Mixer, Dump Truck, Bulldozer and Excavator each finish their tasks before settling down beneath the evening sky. Machines that have spent the day lifting, carrying and digging reveal a softer side as their busy routines give way to sleep. Sherri Duskey Rinker's gentle rhyming text and Tom Lichtenheld's expressive illustrations turn familiar construction vehicles into reassuring bedtime companions. Young readers can enjoy the details of each truck's work while following the comforting rhythm of winding down. Combining the appeal of big machinery with the quiet pleasures of a goodnight story, this picture book makes room for rest after an energetic day.
