Gracie Grabbit loves her dad, but his habit of stealing things is a serious problem. When the family visits the zoo, Gracie is determined that he should behave himself. Unfortunately, a place full of interesting objects and distracting animals offers plenty of temptation, and Dad's choices soon bring him into a situation that is much harder to escape than he expects. Helen Stephens creates a lively comedy in which a sensible little girl has to deal with a decidedly wayward grown-up. Expressive illustrations add warmth and mischief to the action, while the zoo setting supplies an unexpectedly formidable opponent.
