Mini Whinny may be the smallest pony at the stables, but her feelings about birthdays are enormous. When the horses prepare for a shared celebration, she decides that sharing her special day simply will not do. A secret plan to claim the party for herself seems like the perfect solution, until she discovers that having all the treats and decorations is not quite the same as having a wonderful time. Stacy Gregg's mischievous pony learns about friendship and the pleasure of celebrating together in a story illustrated by Ruth Paul. With expressive animal characters, comic determination and a recognisable wish to feel special, this picture book offers young readers a warm, entertaining way to explore selfishness, disappointment and making amends.
