A district and school remember shared generations

Good Condition - Stapled booklet with creased, marked and foxed covers, especially at upper/back edges. Spine/staple area shows handling wear.

This commemorative volume celebrates 125 years of Norsewood's district and school, bringing community history together with memories of education and everyday life. Photographs and written accounts record people, buildings and events across the years 1872 to 1997, with particular attention to the connections formed through the school. Class groups, local activities and recollections of earlier routines help turn a broad anniversary into a collection of recognisable lives and experiences. The result is both a celebration and a record of change within a small New Zealand community. For former pupils, local residents and family-history readers, the booklet offers an opportunity to trace familiar names, compare generations and explore the relationships between a school and the district it has served.
