The Enchanted Wood by Enid Blyton

Three children discover a forest full of magical possibilities

When Jo, Beth and Frannie move near a wood, they discover that its trees and inhabitants belong to a world far stranger than they expected. The enormous Faraway Tree is home to characters including Moon-Face, Silky and the Saucepan Man, and its upper branches lead towards changing lands filled with surprises. Exploring them brings excitement, but also the risk of being caught somewhere with unfamiliar rules. Enid Blyton begins the Faraway Tree adventures with a story that turns an ordinary childhood discovery into a series of imaginative journeys. The Enchanted Wood combines friendship, curiosity and playful danger, inviting readers to join the children as they learn how much wonder can exist just beyond home.
