This volume presents the New Testament in the New English Bible translation, prepared under the supervision of the Joint Committee on the New Translation of the Bible. The translation seeks to communicate the meaning of the Greek text through natural English, bringing the Gospels, Acts, letters, and Revelation into a continuous reading edition. Its narratives recount the life and teachings of Jesus and the development of early Christian communities, while its letters explore faith, conduct, and relationships within those communities. The book offers a resource for personal reading, study, or comparison with other translations, reflecting a significant collaborative project in the history of the Bible in English.
