A sleepy family of rabbits encounters garden trouble

Benjamin Bunny and Flopsy have a family of young rabbits whose search for food leads them towards the discarded vegetables from Mr McGregor's garden. After a generous meal of lettuce, the little bunnies become so sleepy that they fail to notice the danger approaching. Mr McGregor's discovery puts them in serious trouble, and their parents need help if the family is to escape the consequences. Beatrix Potter combines domestic animal life with a mischievous garden adventure, illustrated with her close attention to familiar creatures and settings. The Tale of the Flopsy Bunnies offers humour, suspense and a reminder that even a pleasantly satisfying meal can have unexpected results.
