わたしたちの家庭科 5・6 (Our Home Economics, Grades 5–6) by Kairyudo Publishing (Japanese)

Practical Japanese lessons for home and everyday life

This Japanese-language home economics textbook introduces pupils in grades five and six to skills and questions connected with family life. Illustrated explanations and practical activities link everyday routines with learning about food, clothing and the use of household resources. Photographs show processes clearly, including preparing ingredients and working through cooking tasks, while the presentation encourages children to think about how their choices contribute to life at home. Published by Kairyudo, the book combines explanation with activities intended to develop understanding through doing. It offers a view of primary-school home economics teaching in Japan, making ordinary domestic experiences the starting point for learning practical skills and responsibility.
