Usborne Scratch Activities: Butterflies by Sam Baer

Reveal colourful butterflies through puzzles and scratch-art play

Sam Baer's butterfly-themed activity book combines scratch-art scenes with puzzles and colouring, inviting children to create pictures by revealing the colours beneath a dark surface. Eleven scratchable scenes offer different settings and patterns to explore, while facing activity pages provide further ways to engage with the theme. Klara Hawkins's illustrations give the butterflies and surrounding details a lively visual character. The format encourages children to follow an idea, add their own marks and notice how a design changes as more colour appears. Usborne Scratch Activities: Butterflies brings creative play together with the pleasure of discovery, offering a varied activity-book experience for children who enjoy pictures, patterns and making something themselves.
